With spring just around the corner I have started searching for the perfect fabric collections to use on Brenna's wardrobe and for my shop. When Bonnie Christine announced she was doing a blogtour for the Art Gallery Fabric's Succulence collection, I took one look at the line and fell in love! I was so excited and surprised that I was selected to join the tour too!
My first project was a newly released pattern by Simple Life Pattern Company. This is the Lexi Strappy Back dress. This dress makes me dream of summer vacation! The prism print Arboretum Inspirit is the first fabric that caught my eye in the collection. I wanted to pair it with with something solid so this print would stand out. Solid in Sweet Mint from the AGF Pure Elements collection was the perfect match. I also love SLPco's Rayann's banded skirt, so I decided to add that detail to mine and I love how it turned out.
We headed out to take photographs, and what better place to show off this fabric line than an actual succulent garden. I love how these turned out!
I couldn't stop at just one dress. I wanted to use one of the gorgeous florals from the collection as well. I choose Rosette Fireside for a maxi dress--Brenna's favorite style! This is the Bella dress by Simple Life Pattern Company. I guess I am little obsessed with an interesting strap detail at the moment. I used Spiny Oasis Lush for these straps. The gorgeous floral wreath, which just so happened to match perfectly, is from The Little Sparrow Boutique.
Thankfully, Succulence is already available to buy because there are so many prints I need NOW! However, have you seen the newest line by Bonnie Christine releasing very soon?!? It is called Forest Floor, and I have been very lucky to get my hands on just a little to create some projects! I have a couple pieces left over so if you would like a chance to have these pretties mailed to you, just leave a comment here on my post and I will select 1 person randomly to receive these gorgeous fabrics. If you would like an extra entry you can go to my Instagram page (@becauseofbrenna) and tag a friend on one of my Succulence pictures. Good Luck!! Here's a little peek at my Forest Floor project!!
I hope you enjoyed my stop along the Succulence blog hop, I have enjoyed seeing all the projects along the way. Be sure to check out the last blog by Sarah Bertochi and don't forget to check in tomorrow on Maxie Ramey for some Succulence gorgeousness!
